At our 12-Step Recovery Retreat, your well-being is our top priority. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and respectful environment where individuals can focus on their healing, growth, and recovery. 3 ELEVEN RETREAT strives to safeguard the anonymity of attendees, however, keep in mind that anonymity is not a cloak for unsafe and illegal behavior. Addressing such behavior and/or contacting the proper authorities when appropriate is meant to ensure the safety of all in attendance. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we have established the following safety guidelines:
1. Confidentiality and Respect:
Confidentiality is fundamental to the 12-Step process. What is shared in group meetings stays in the group. We ask that all participants respect one another’s privacy and create a safe space for personal sharing.
2. Emotional Safety:
Recovery can bring up strong emotions. We are committed to fostering a compassionate and understanding environment. Participants are encouraged to express themselves openly, but we ask that everyone be respectful of each other’s emotional boundaries and experiences. If you need additional support, see one of our guides and we will endeavor to assist you.
3. Physical Safety
Our retreat facility adheres to strict health and safety regulations. Emergency procedures are in place. If you have any medical conditions or special needs, please inform our team at time of registration so we can endeavor to provide the appropriate accommodations.
4. Substance-Free Environment:
This retreat is a sober space. To support your recovery journey, we maintain a strict no-alcohol and no-drugs policy. The retreat environment is designed to promote clarity, healing, and focus. Tobacco use/smoking including e-cigarettes or similar devices are prohibited inside any structure or on the grounds away from camper cabins or sites. Designated smoking areas will be made available. Anyone found in violation of this policy may be asked to leave the retreat with no refund.
5. Boundaries and Personal Space:
We respect everyone’s personal space and encourage participants to establish and communicate their boundaries. Physical touch, including hugging, should always be consensual. Should you find yourself in an uncomfortable situation, please see one of our guides and we will endeavor to assist.
6. Conflict Resolution:
We encourage participants to approach one another with kindness and openness. If conflicts or disagreements arise, please see one of our guides and we will endeavor to assist. Our goal is to maintain a harmonious and supportive retreat environment.
7. Mental Health Support:
While this retreat is designed for individuals in recovery, we understand that mental health challenges can arise. If you are experiencing severe emotional distress or a crisis, please inform our team immediately.
8. Respect for Diversity:
We embrace individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. The retreat is an inclusive space where everyone is encouraged to feel valued and supported, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or spiritual beliefs.
9. Commitment to Recovery:
The retreat environment is structured to support your recovery. We encourage active participation in all activities, including group meetings, discussions, and individual reflection. If you need a break or support at any time, please reach out to our team.
By participating in this retreat, you agree to abide by these safety guidelines and contribute to a community of mutual respect, kindness, and understanding. We are here to support you on your journey of recovery, and we encourage you to seek help whenever needed. Your safety and healing are our highest priority.
Thank you for helping us create a safe, welcoming, and transformative space for all.
